Hezie Kiah "H.K." Scott 87 of Rogers graduated to his Heavenly Home on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Sept. 26, 1928 in Brightwater the son of George and Nellie Jane Deason Scott. After the passing of his mother H.K. was raised by Uncle Robert and Aunt Lillie Wardlow. He attended school at Brightwater. He was a First Sgt. in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and also a 15 year member of the Army National Guard at Ft. Chaffee. H.K. was former owner of Stroud's Department Store in Rogers and also assisted the past 15 years at Benton County Funeral Home. He was a member of the Lowell First Baptist Church, and a song leader for over 50 years. H.K. enjoyed playing the Mandolin and played in several Bluegrass Bands, including Shady Grove Bluegrass, War Eagle Express and Down Home Folks and also played in Smoke on the Mountain at the First Baptist Church in Lowell. He also enjoyed fox hunting and was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Fox Hunters Association and the Brightwater Masonic Lodge. H.K. is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Mallett Scott, 1989, they had one daughter, Myrna Scott of Rogers who survives. He is also survived by his wife, Imogene Scott of the home; and her two sons, Gary Stewart of Rogers, and Richard Stewart and wife Sandy of Bentonville; two brothers, Floyd Scott of California and Preston John Scott and wife Marie of Rogers; three grandchildren, Todd Stewart, Jason Stewart and Tasha Farris and husband Duel; five great-grandchildren Alexis Farris, Ava Farris, Ethan Stewart, Axton Farris and Chris Stewart; great-great-grandchild, Riley Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Gynelle Wood, and two brothers, Bruce Scott and Sherman Scott. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tues., May 3, 2106 at Grace Baptist Church New Hope Road, Rogers with Pastor Randy Parks, Pastor Gary Thomas, and Pastor Johnny Harp officiating. Interment will follow in the Tucks Chapel Cemetery in Rogers will full military honors by the Rogers American Legions Post 100. Visitation 5-7 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Pallbearers Gary Stewart, Richard Stewart, Todd Stewart, Jason Stewart, Duel Farris and A.B. Burton. Honorary Pallbearers Lonnie Burton, Clifford Burton, Clyde Gosvener, Keith Escue, John Escue, Pat Greenlee, Shawn Holloway and Ray Trinidad.
