Dorothy Jean Hughes

Dorothy Jean Hughes, 61, passed away peacefully Tues., April 26, 2016 at her home in Rogers, Ark. She was born Sept. 18, 1954 in Chicago, Ill. to George Joseph and Ethel L. Grossinger Welbourn. She was a long term employee of Walmart and Sam's Club home office for over 37 years. Dorothy was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers for the past 30 years where she was involved in many ministries, including the choir. Her two sons attended St. Vincent De Paul Catholic School from Kindergarten through their full grade school term. She was preceded in death by her father. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Anthony Hughes; two sons, Tony S. Hughes and wife, Chrissy, Benjamin S. Hughes; her mother, Ethel Grossinger Stadler; one sister, Patricia Shaddox and husband, Chick; two step-brothers, Ralph Stadler and wife, Erdie , Jim Stadler and wife, Janice; one step-sister, Chari Larimore and husband, Doug; two grandchildren, Alexis and Sebastian; two nieces, Michelle and Amy and many more nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m., Thurs., May 5, 2016 in the Hall at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers with the Rosary Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon, Fri., May 6, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor David LeSieur officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Dorothy Hughes to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1416 West Poplar St. Rogers, Ark. 72758; or online at the church website svdprogers.com.
