Wilma Jean Crowder

Wilma "Jean" Crowder, 82, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on July 24, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to William and Viola (Hulsey) Wines. She was a retired Fort Smith Public School teacher's aide at Kimmon's Junior High School. Jean was an avid sports fan, especially Westark College Baseball. She was a member of First Christian Church. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at First Christian Church in Fort Smith with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Crowder of the home; one son, David Crowder and his wife Sheila of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one daughter, Kristi Israel Seibech and her husband Bob of Alma, Arkansas; two sisters, Jan Katz of Van Buren, Arkansas and Shirley Speedlin of Goshen, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Kacey Johnson, Brandie, Megan and Hallee Israel and Alexa Crowder; one great grandson, Elijah Johnson and former son in law, Jim Israel Jr. Pallbearers are Jim Wyatt, Harold Callahan, Jim Wiley, Winston Simpson and Larry and Andy Crowder. Honorary pallbearers are all former Westark baseball players and coaches and Coach Jimmie Cottrell. The family will visit with friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
