Billie Owen

Billie Owen, 97, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born June 14, 1918 in Greenland, Ark. to Clabe and Sadie Daniel Owen. Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Boyce and Wayne Owen; and sister, Audrey Guinn. She graduated from Greenland High School and the Fayetteville Business College. Billie lived in Ft. Worth, Texas for 50 years and worked at Harris Hospital as an x-ray technician. She is survived by a sister, Mary Jane Swope of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Darlene Owen of Great Bend, Kan..; nephew, Michael Owen of Hutchinson, Kan.; niece, Sandy Lankford of Castle Rock, Colo. and niece, Sarah Hamm and husband, Bill of Elkins; and great-nephews, James and Austin Hamm of Elkins. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Beard's Chapel with Terry Mudd officiating. Interment will follow in Baptist Ford Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
