Hudson LaMar Lais, five years old, of Rogers passed away March 10, 2016, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville. He went to be with Jesus in the comforting arms of his parents, Jessica and Barrett, and surrounded by loving family members. Hudson was born Feb. 13, 2011 in Johnson, Ark., the son of Randolph "Barrett" and Jessica (LaMar) Lais. He and his family are members of Keypoint Church in Bentonville. Hudson enjoyed being around water-swimming, boating or visiting the beach. He loved to "Call the Hogs" and cheer on his daddy's Arkansas Razorbacks Golf Team. He loved listening to music, especially Coldplay and James Taylor. He adored his friends, teachers and therapists at his school, KidsFirst, Lowell, Ark. His little brother, Sawyer, was his best friend. He was happiest cuddling in a big, soft blanket with his family. He had an infectious smile and spirit that could light up any room. He was a true fighter who enjoyed his life and always made the best of every situation. Hudson is survived by his parents of the home; his brother Sawyer and doggies Mr. Big and Birdie of the home; maternal grandparents Brian and Ginger LaMar, Joplin, Mo.; paternal grandparents Karen Lais and fiancé Mike Vaughan, Webb City, Mo. and Dr. Randy and Jackie Lais, Rogers, Ark.; maternal great-grandparents Jim and Lois Davis, Overland Park, Kan. and Patricia LaMar Blunt and husband Skip of Wickenburg, Ark.; maternal great-great grandmother Evelyn Davis, Russell, Kan.; aunt Bethany LaMar and uncle Luke McGinnis, Joplin, Mo.; great-aunt Cindi Davis, Overland Park, Kan.; great-uncle Bruce and great-aunt Becky Lais, Joplin, Mo.; aunt Miranda (Lais) Quintana and uncle Efren Quintana, cousins Alexis, Kelsey, Cameren, Isabel and Gabriel, Overland Park, Kan.; uncle Bo-Michael Lais and aunt Barbara Lloyd, cousins Bo-Michael "Ayden" and Ethan, Overland Park, Kan.; aunt Sarah (Lais) Hines and Clint, cousins Azlynn and Graie, Spring Hill, Kan.; nurse Christel McIntire Kirk, Fayetteville, Ark. and godparents Dane and Katie Bell, Joplin, Mo. and Allen and Malarie McFerran, Fort Smith, Ark. And many other great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. A Celebration of Hudson's life will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Keypoint Church, 3700 Medical Center Pkwy, Bentonville, Ark. with Pastor Jordan Jopling and Pastor Brian Key officiating. Family is requesting bright, happy colors be worn to celebrate Hudson's life. Interment with balloon release will follow in the Pinnacle Memorial Gardens, Rogers, Ark.
