Phyllis Coriene Salzman (Jumper), 77 of Cabot, died March 8, 2016 at CHI St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born March 7, 1939 in Faxon, Oklahoma to the late William Porter Jumper and Edna Merle Jumper (Petty) of Cabot. She was a graduate of Hagerman High School in Hagerman, New Mexico. As the wife of a career military man, Phyllis made a home for her family wherever the assignment took them, from Puerto Rico, Texas, and Oklahoma, to North Dakota and Nebraska, before finally settling in Cabot. She was a receptionist and secretary at the Cabot United Methodist Church before taking a position at The Bank of Cabot, where she retired after 20 years. Phyllis was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church and very active in the Community Bible Study, as well as many other activities at the church. As an avid Razorback fan, she could always be found in her favorite chair ready to cheer on "her" hogs! A lover of the arts, she attended many performances of the Repertory Theater in Little Rock, as well as, the Crystal Bridges Art Museums and the Arkansas Arts Center. She was known for her outgoing personality, positive attitude, and contagious smile. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert D. Salzman. She is survived by her children; John Todd Salzman (Kelly) O'Fallon, Illinois, Robin Diane Johnson (Johnny) of Russellville, Arkansas, and Philip Craig Salzman of Cabot, Arkansas; brothers, Bill Jumper of Houston, Texas, and Michael Jumper (Janice) of St. Charles, Illinois; grandchildren, Parker and Lindsey Salzman, Jadyn and Jared Salzman, and Drake and Bryce Johnson. Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be Friday, March 11th at 10 a.m. at Cabot United Methodist Church. Memorials may be sent to the Cabot United Methodist Church. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Arkansas Hospice at CHI St. Vincent's Infirmary, Little Rock.
