Carl Lynn Cotrill, 84, of Rogers passed away March 8, 2016 in his home. He was born January 10, 1932 in their home on North 8th street in Rogers. He was the only child of Carl Ivan and Delphia Daugherty Cotrill. His parents moved to West Oak Street, where he lived throughout his school days. In 1949 he joined the National Guard. The Guards were called in 1950 to active duty and were shipped to Korea. After returning to Rogers, but not finding many jobs, he went to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carl was working at Glencliff Dairy, before going to work for Sears, Roebuck & Co. He worked there until his retirement in 1997, with 30 years as a Service Technician, then he returned to Rogers and got reacquainted with a classmate, Dott Summers and they married in 1999. Carl loved to travel in his RV, spending lots of time in Branson, Missouri. He served on the Board of Directors of Treasure Lake RV Resort in Branson. Recent health problems have prevented him from RV travel. He is survived by his wife, Dott Cotrill of the home; his son, John Franklin Cotrill and wife Terry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and his daughter, Vickie Lynn Marshall and husband John of Rogers; grandchildren, Michael & Quincie Cotrill, Kari and Michael Rock, Joey and Jonathan Marshall; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Adelyn, Will Cotrill, Abby, Tyler and Nicolas Rock; stepchildren, Fred Summers and wife Diane of Edmond, Oklahoma, John Summers and wife Mary Eve of Norman, Oklahoma; Homer Summers and wife Donna and Pam Treadway and husband Tom all of Rogers. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday; March 11, 2016 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Private interment will be in the Rogers Cemetery.
