Marion David Serrano

Marion David Serrano, age 80, of Springdale, passed away peacefully at the Earlene Howard Circle of Life Hospice House and went to be with the Lord on February 29, 2016. He was born August 18, 1935 in Corona, California, the son of Marion Nick and Barbara Joyce Fredericks Serrano. He was a retired Church of Christ preacher and he had also retired from Northrop-Grumman where he inspected F-14 fighter jets and also from Pratt and Whitney. He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed fishing, watching old war movies and spending time with his grandchildren. Marion was preceded in death by his parents, his previous spouse of 50 years, Mary Serrano, his daughter; Christine Burkhart, two sisters; Gloria Rodriguez and Ruby Schneider and one grandchild; Aaron Sen. He is survived by his wife; Lynn Serrano of the home, daughters; Vickie Ferguson and Pamela Sen of Springdale, step children; Keena Ford, Phillip Hayes, Leon Hayes, Tammi Delgado and Andy Hayes, all of Springdale, brother; Stanley "Rick" Serrano of Tupelo, Mississippi, grandchildren; Kasandra Rolland and Nick, Ericka Ferguson and Linay Burkhart and great-grandchildren; Karis Rolland, Hailee Ferguson and Jordan Mansker. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Laney Cemetery in Huntsville, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.The family request that memorials be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
