Dale Roy Eastburn

Dale Roy Eastburn, (79), a loving husband, father and grandfather was surrounded by family when he went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, November 17 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dale was born August 20, 1936, in Springdale, Arkansas to Charles and Caroline Eastburn. He graduated from Springdale High School and attended the University of Arkansas before joining the Navy. Dale married Norma Horn October 1, 1960. He was a faithful member of University Baptist Church with his family from 1972 until his death, where he served as a deacon and usher. He spent 37 years working for the Federal Aviation Administration and retired from Drake Field. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry/craftsmanship. His passions in retirement included spending time with his family, volunteering, serving others, going on mission trips and playing golf with his friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Norma, his wife of 55 years and their three daughters, Brenda (Curtiss) Doss of Collierville, Tenn.; Linda (Bob) Hunthrop of Little Rock; and Karen (John) English of Springdale and seven grandchildren: Brandon (Lauren), Bethany & Bryan Doss and Katelyn, Becca, Sarah & Johndavid English. He is also survived by his brother Ken (Teresa) Eastburn and sister, Sue (Jim) Trammell all of Texas. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with burial following at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be at Sisco Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20. Memorials can be made to Second Mile Ministries at University Baptist Church.
