Alice R. Longstreth, 91, passed peacefully at her residence Nov. 12, 2015. Born in Circleville, Ohio, her parents, brother, beloved foster mother, M. Voelker, Jersey, Ohio and ex-husband, R. Longstreth, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Molly Longstreth, son, Bruce (Rose) Longstreth, grandson, Cody (Kitty) Longstreth, and sister, Claire Wilcoxson and family. Alice graduated from Pataskala High School where she and lifelong friend, Flo Wheeler, led cheers in the school's first cheer squad. She retired from Rockwell International after 34 years of dedicated service. Alice had a lifelong passion for golf and spent her free time with co-workers and friends playing the links. She was grateful for Columbus' public golf courses and leagues. Her appreciation of art and drama inspired her grandson to pursue a career as an artist. Alice's curiosity about the world and nature endured even through years of dementia. Her family deeply appreciates the staff of Silverleaf of Athens and Fayetteville City Hospital for their care. Family will hold a memorial service at a future time in Athens, Ga. and Columbus, Ohio. Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.bridgesfuneral.com.
