Vivian Liberty Bennett

Vivian Liberty Bennett, 97 of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away at Willard Walker Hospice Home on November 8, 2015 from the complications of advance age. Vivian was born April 8, 1918 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to Harry Bowman and Emma (Meinz) Bowman. She moved to St Louis, Mo. at an early age with her family. There she met her husband, Lee Bennett. They were married on August 19, 1939. Vivian moved to Fayetteville in 1994 and lived here until her death. She was a member of University Baptist Church. She delivered Meals on Wheels in Fayetteville for several years and was part of a group that led regular worship services for residents of City Hospital. She also enjoyed playing with a group of ladies in a "Merry Hearts Kitchen Band" that performed at nursing homes and care centers. In her 70's she took up oil painting as a hobby. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lee Bennett, two brothers, Harry Bowman and Robert Bowman both of St. Louis, Mo. She is survived by one son, Bruce Bennett (wife Linda) of Phoenix, Ariz., three daughters, Deanna Flanagan of Los Osos, Calif., Lisa Hart (husband Walter) of Red Bud, Ill. and Rebecca Allen (husband Curtis) of Fayetteville, Ark., one sister, Bettie Haltenhof of St Louis, Mo., 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was a devout Christian, Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. There will be a memorial service for Vivian 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Beard's Funeral Chapel 855 S.
