David Lea Ellis
David Lea Ellis, 73, of Lincoln, Ark. passed away at his home on Nov. 5, 2015.
David was born on Feb. 24, 1942 in Prairie Grove, Ark., a son of Louis Ellis and Theda Curtis Ellis. He married Joyce Fletcher Ames in September 1994 in Fayetteville.
David was a heavy equipment operator for McClinton Anchor for many years before his retirement. He was a hard working man who loved the outdoors, cutting wood, gardening, doing woodwork and playing dominoes.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ellis of the home; his mother, Theda Ellis of Fayetteville; two daughters, Tammy Ellis of the home and Denise Elms of West Fork, Ark.; three sons, Travis Ellis, Central City, Ark., Marty Ellis of Lincoln, Ark., and Bill Ames of Watts, Okla.; one brother, Paul Ellis of Prairie Grove, Ark. and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at the Bell Cemetery in West Siloam Springs on Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. Brother Glen Faulkner will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
