John Edward Vermillion

John Edward Vermillion, 76, of Bella Vista, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. John was born March 17, 1939 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Charley and Birdie Baker Vermillion. He proudly served in the United States Army and graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo. John had a successful career as Vice-President of Finance at the Computer Science Corporation in Kansas City for many years, yet his most notable success was found in his roles of loving and dedicated father to his boys, and confidante and best friend to his wife of 29 years. John was an honest and humble man with a servant's heart who valued family, people from all walks of life, and most of all, his faith. He was an active member of Cross Church in Rogers Arkansas. John was preceded in death by his father, Charley Vermillion, his mother, Birdie Mae Baker Witter; one brother and one sister. John is survived by his wife, Susan Foulkes Vermillion; three sons, Joseph Vermillion of Medina, Ohio, Jason Vermillion of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, Jeffery Vermillion of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, four brothers and three sisters. A celebration honoring John's life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers, Arkansas with the Reverend Doug Davidson officiating.
