John Robert Scott

John Robert Scott, 73, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away peacefully at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. on December 25, 2015 after a battle with cancer. He was born November 12, 1942 in Independence, Mo. to Robert Lewis and Betty Lou Bartlett Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bobby. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Ellen Hull Scott; two daughters, Kelly Schlicht and husband Greg of Lenexa, Kan. and Stacy Kimberling of Olathe, KS; three grandchildren, Sarah Schlicht, Shae Kimberling, Tanner Kimberling and his beloved Australian Shepherd, Riley. After graduating from North Eastern A&M in Miami, Okla., he went to work for Quik Trip Corporation. He retired after 28 years of service, ending his career as Vice President of Real Estate Development. John was an avid sports fan and followed the St. Louis Cardinals his whole life. After moving to Arkansas, he became a devoted Razorback fan as well. He loved to fish and play golf and he was a huge dog lover. His family will lay him to rest privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. or the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, Ark. John lived his life to the fullest and his "larger than life" personality, generosity and love for his family and friends will be sorely missed. God saw him getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come to Me". Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
