Cecil Woods

Cecil Woods, 93, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, December 22, after a brief illness. Cecil was born at home on March 28, l922 in Bunyard, Ark. the youngest child of Arthur and Mary Oma Woods. He was a farmer and self-employed carpenter. Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Mary Woods; brother, Emory Woods, and five sisters; Retha Hanna, Eva Keck, Vada Combs, Leona Coleman and Bessie Morris. He is survived by two step-children, Francis Hayes Bercher and husband Tom of Wisconsin; Chester Hayes and wife Jan of West Fork; five step-grandchildren, Brian Cecil Josef Bercher of Rhode Island, Lori Light of Colorado, Laura Hayes, Sarah Hayes and Katherine Fedder; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Visitation is at 10 a.m., funeral at 11 a.m.
