John Edward Newhouse

John Edward Newhouse, 82, of Springdale, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Fayetteville Veterans Home. He was born June 2, 1933 in Gardner, Kansas to Medart and Mary LaCroix Newhouse. John was a Mechanical Engineer working for Burns and McDonnell. He was also with Martell and Associates in Lenexa, Kansas before moving to Arkansas. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. He enjoyed volunteering at the Sanctuary of Hope in Kansas City, Kansas and The Food Pantry for St. Raphael's Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Men's Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clarence Newhouse and Paul Newhouse; two sisters, Marjorie Moll and Joanne Kramer. Survivors include his wife, Margarite Newhouse of the home; one daughter, Amy Kirchner and husband Paul of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Claire Kirchner and Jessica Kirchner. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale with Father John Connell officiating. Burial will follow in Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, from 3-5 p.m. and a Rosary will follow at 5 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
