Dewey Link, Jr., age 78, of Lowell, died December 17, 2015, at Earlene Howard Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. He was born February 24, 1937 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the son of Dewey and Effie White Link. He graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1955 and joined the U.S. Navy in September of 1955. He began his training at the U.S. Naval Training Center in San Diego, California and after completing training, he served at the U.S. Naval Air Station on Coronado Island, San Diego and then on the U.S.S. Shangri La Naval Carrier. Mr. Link made his home in Lowell since 1979 and owned and operated Six Links Bicycle Shop in Springdale, and then worked in the heating and air industry. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Link, of the home; four daughters and their husbands, Lynda and Dennis Jackson of Rogers, Deborah and Ernie Munoz of Springdale, Melanie and Denton Gage of Fayetteville and Jennifer and David Beaver of Springdale; one brother, Charles Link, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Nina Lobianco, of Rogers; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and five nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, December 21, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandra Wanasek officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. There will not be a visitation.
