Carol May Gertz

Carol May Gertz, 76, of Bentonville, formerly of Fort Smith, died December 11, 2015 in Bentonville, Ark. She was born June 20, 1939 in Coloma, Michigan to Wilbur Earle and Helen June Pitcher Leverton. She was retired from Crawford and Company and from the Walmart Corp. She was a former member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Fort Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Gertz of Bentonville, Ark.; one son, Michael and wife Liza of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Nancy Cotton of Fort Smith; and four grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Zach, and Cody Gertz. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. "Bill" Gertz. Memorial service will be Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.
