Florence France – also known as "Cokie" - died on December 8, 2015 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Florence Emma Ivy Linebarger Allred France was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, on October 3, 1915 to William Talbot Ivy II and Len (Barnett) Ivy. She was the 2nd child and oldest daughter of their six children. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings William Talbot Ivy III ("Tal"), Charles B. Ivy, Mildred C. Ivy and Ruth Mason Frits; and husbands C A Linebarger, Jr., Darwin Allred and Jack France. Florence graduated from Bentonville High School in 1932. She married C.A. Linebarger Jr. in 1935, and had three daughters, Carole, Ann and Charity. Sadly, C.A .died in 1956 at the young age of 42 years. Upon her marriage to Darwin Allred in 1957. Florence and her daughters moved to San Jose, California. Florence lived in San Jose for the next 47 years, where she was a real estate agent and married Jack France. She returned to Northwest Arkansas in April, 2004, residing in Butterfield Trail Village of Fayetteville. Cokie celebrated her 100th birthday this year. Her good nature, fair-mindedness, generosity and great people skills endured her to family, friends and even casual acquaintances. She was fortunate to have good health and a fulfilling and rewarding long life. Florence was a life-long Democrat and a former Deacon of the (Presbyterian) Stone Church of Willow Glen in San Jose, California. Florence is survived by her sister Betty Stone of Prairie Village, Kansas, and her daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Bill Harter of Fayetteville, Ann and David Boyd of Johnson and Charity and Bill George of Sacramento, California. She is also survived by grandchildren Nancy (George) Thompson, Andrea (George) Redmon, Kathleen Boyd (formerly Mina) and Colin Boyd, and great-grandchildren Julian and Levi Thompson, Madelynn and Emma Redmon and Jake, Jordan and Ryan Mina. The family especially thank the staff of Butterfield Trail Village Health Care Center for their kind and tender care of Cokie. A memorial service, date pending, will be held after the holiday season.
