James H. Ralston

James H. Ralston, 86, of Fayetteville, died Monday, December 7, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born May 4, 1929 in McAlester, Okla. to Archie and Mabel Clevenger Ralston. He was owner/operator of R&S Garage in Fayetteville. James was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Mabel Clevenger Ralston; his first wife, Cuba Lou McCarver Ralston; three brothers, Lane, Billy Joe and Ed Ralston; and four sisters, Lois Burleson, Rachel Tannehill, Jewell Ralston and Mary Ralston. He is survived by his wife, Rhoda Hunt Ralston, of the home; his children, Stephen (Steve) Larry Ralston and his wife, Rosie of Fayetteville, Shirley Kathy Doss of Lincoln, Teresa Colleen Patton and husband, Theron of Fayetteville and James Dale Ralston of Lincoln; three brothers, Walter Ralston and wife, Ann of Rolla, Mo., Floyd Elvin Ralston and wife, Joyce of Henderson, Texas. and Bob Ralston and wife, Alice of Springdale; two sisters, Shirley Harris of Rogers and Dollie Ward of Ozark, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville with Reverend John Hassell officiating. Interment will follow in the Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the funeral home.
