Irvan "Bud" Williams

Irvan Dean "Bud" Williams, age 89, of Rogers, died December 2, 2015, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born in Greensburg, Kan., on April 26, 1926, to the late Irvan Edward and Dolly (Davis) Williams. Bud served his country in the US Marine Corps during World War II. Following the war, he married Lexie Hopwood in Okema, Okla., on November 8, 1946, and they were married 53 years at the time of her death in 2000. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers. He was a manager for Rogers TV Cable, which later became Donrey Cable System, and worked for several years for Nevada TV Cable in Nevada, Mo. Survivors include his children, Cathy Yocham and husband Ronnie of Vinita, Okla., David Williams and wife Kim of Fulshear, Texas; siblings, Bonnie Massey of Deridder, La., Jim Williams of Midwest City, Okla., Roger Williams of Newton, N.C.; grandchildren, Todd Weber, Ashley Boes, Kylie Riley, Lyndli Elliott, Megan Eichblatt, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Lexie; and a sister, Roma Stocklos. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, December 5, 2015, with services beginning at noon in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ben Rowell. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, 72762; or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
