Thomas Leon Cox

Thomas Leon Cox, 79, of Alamo, Texas, passed away June 24, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Winnsboro, Texas, to Darrell and Loviebelle (Boles) Cox. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Prior to retirement, he was a mechanical engineer for Texas Instrument. Thomas was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Survivors include a son, Darrell Cox of Rogers; special friend, Jane Parks of Fayetteville; brother, Robert Earl Cox of Mena, Ark.; sisters, Rosemary Chisey of Winnsboro, Texas, Derrelline Raulston of Arlington, Texas, and Carolyn Wilson of Winnsboro, Texas; and grandson, Timothy Cox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada; and two grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Zachary. A funeral service will be held at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be Friday, June 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.
