Joseph Robert "Bob" Tinsley, 79, of Springdale died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Mangum, Okla., to Thomas Jefferson and Stella Lett Tinsley. Bob served in the Navy. He then worked in sales throughout his life. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing, Western movies, and collecting hats and pens. Bob loved his little brown dog, Putter Green, and making people laugh. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Prock and Phaye Parker. He is survived by his wife, Nadine (Gurley) Tinlsey of the home, whom he married Aug. 23, 1963, in Green Forest; one daughter, Bobbi Curris and husband, Bob, of Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Vivian Collier of Haysville, Kan.; and one brother, Tom Tinsley and wife, Jean, of Bonner Springs, Kan. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be 1 p.m. at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison.
