Linda Jean Burrack

Linda Jean Burrack, 66, of Fayetteville died Monday, June 2, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born April 18, 1948, in Eau Claire, Wis., to Harold Scott and Jean Percy Scott. She worked in her home with several foster care programs, including Youth Bridge, DHS and Ozark Guidance. She received the Arkansas Action for Children award from Hilary Clinton as First Lady of Arkansas and the Outstanding Citizen of the State of Arkansas award from Governor Tucker. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Dennis Burrack of the home; daughter, Denise Rae; grandson, Nicholas Therrell; mother, Jean Scott of West Fork; sister, Roxanne Scheppke and husband, Mike, brother, Charles Scott and wife, Tanya, both of Eau Claire, Wis.; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Her wishes were to have a private memorial service in Rock Falls, Wis., with her family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
