Kathryn Louise Harvey

Kathryn Louise Harvey, age 73, died at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville on Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Metropolis, Ill., to Glenn and Blanche Collie Winfield. Kathryn lived in Illinois, Minnesota and Arkansas and loved all of them in different ways. She worked as a mother and a wife of a United Methodist minister until they retired in 2001. She was a member of the Elm Springs United Methodist Church. Kathryn enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and quilting with her friends at the quilting bee. She enjoyed her time at church and her time with family and friends. She loved to travel, visiting places like Ireland, Israel, Alaska, Australia and many a cruises. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include Ralph, her husband of 49 years who still resides in their home in Fayetteville; two sons, Jerry Harvey and wife, Melissa Zabecki Harvey, of Parkin, Ark., Eric Harvey of Winslow, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Carla Harvey of Sherburn, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Savannah, Aryka, Eann and Shawn Harvey, all of Sherburn, Minn. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; and her only sister, Geraldine Borum. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at Elm Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Memorial contributions in honor of Kathryn may be made to Elm Springs United Methodist Church, 118 N.
