Billie Charlene Hudson

Billie Charlene Hudson, 73, of Rogers passed away Sept. 26, 2013, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Harrison, Ark., the daughter of William F. and Thelma Aline Wilhelm Smothers. She was a master gardener for Walmart Store #1. Billie was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Rogers. She was very active in writing grants for the Rogers Public Schools, Horses for Healing, the Cub Scouts and the Johnny Appleseed Program. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Hudson Sr.; her sister, Thelma Corene Risenhoover. Survived by her sons, Billy Joe Hudson Jr. and wife, Julie, and Johnny Dale Hudson and wife, Belinda, all of Rogers; her daughter, Becky Sue Pinion and husband, Kenny, of Huffman, Texas; eight grandchildren, Billy Charles Hudson, Erin Walker, Holly Chesnut, Shawn Hudson, Jason and Janelle Underwood, Amanda and Alex Pinion; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Believers Baptist Church, 924 S. C St., Rogers, with Pastor Jeff Simpson officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers, AR 72756.
