Alene Ellen Kissee

Alene Kissee, 89, of Rogers, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born May 18, 1924, to Jacob and Maggie Rhodes Marsh in North Alva, Okla. When Alene was 3 years old, the family moved from Capron, Okla., to a farm five miles east of Kiowa, Kan. She married Verlin Law in 1941, and together, they had five children, Terry, Patsy, Rita, Roger, and Ronnie. Alene loved to attend church, be with her family, and enjoyed playing UNO with friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Verlin Law; and husband of 41/2 years, Darrell Kissee, and two grandsons, Randall Scott Law and David Sean Law. Alene is survived by three sons, Terry Law and wife, Jo Ann, of Rogers, Ark., Ronnie Law and wife, Kathy, of Bentonville, Ark., Roger Law, of Miami, Okla.; two daughters, Patsy Kwapeszeski and husband, Jerry, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Rita Auman and husband, Galen, of Riverton, Kan.; 14 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers with Pastor James Longmate officiating. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
