Virginia Foster, 92, a longtime resident of Farmington, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 16, 2013. She was born April 4, 1921, in Knoxville, Ark., the daughter of George Edmond and Bertha Donaldson Weber. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Farmington. Enjoyed quilting for the orphanages, doing Bible study at Peachtree Retirement Home. She was always busy helping where she was needed, doing Bible teaching in Thursday Bible school, and after she was older she always was busy on Thursday helping wherever she was needed at the church. Always had a smile and a hug for everyone she came in contact with. She loved her little ones and all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Foster; two sons, Marvin Foster and Jimmy Foster; two grandsons, James and David; two brothers, Lloyd and Russell Weber. Survivors include six children, Dale Foster of Farmington, Anita Meadors and husband, Eugene, of Winslow, Mary Sue Rice and husband, Donnie, of Farmington, Charles Foster and wife, Judy, of Prairie Grove, Helen Carter and husband, Wayne, of Farmington, and Wayne Foster and wife, Annette, also of Farmington; three daughters-in-law, Mary Foster, Wanda Foster and Joy Foster; 29 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren, with three on the way. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Farmington Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, 10 a.m. at the Farmington Church of Christ. Burial will be in Black Oak Cemetery in Winslow; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.
