Richard Lee Whiteman

Richard Lee Whiteman, 71, of Springdale died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Metamora, Mich., to Lee Alan and Nancy Geoit Whiteman. Richard was a draftsman, he worked for Fig Tree Inc. He was a member of Cross Church of Springdale. He also served on the board of trustees of Missionary Tech Team and was a member of Gideons International. He was preceded in death by Charlotte Whiteman. Survivors include his wife, Anne Whiteman of the home; one son, Joel Whiteman and wife, Stephanie, of Rogers; one daughter, Jill Case and husband, Ray, of Perrysburg, Ohio; two sisters, Pat Geasa of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Sharon Thom of Houghton Lake, Mich.; six grandchildren, Tom Censullo, Amanda Mayhue, Morgan Whiteman, Jordan Whiteman, Samuel Case and Macy Case; and two great-grandchildren, Magnus Mayhue and Atticus Mayhue. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Cross Church chapel of Springdale, with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating.
