Mary Jane Butcher

Mary Jane Butcher, age 86, of Springdale went to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2013, in Rogers, Ark. She was born May 2, 1927, in Seminole, Okla., the daughter of David and Minerva Casdorph VanPool. She retired from cafeteria work with the Fayetteville School System. Mrs. Butcher enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and cooking. She was preceded by her husband, Clyde Butcher; and two daughters, Barbara Senechal and Carol Raye Bowen. She is survived by two sons, Jack Butcher and Cindy of Springdale, and Kenneth Butcher of Springdale; two daughters, Patty Davidson of Rogers, and Rosie Butcher and Debbie of Springdale; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at noon at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Butcher, Brad Butcher, Greg Finfrock, George Davidson, Kenneth Butcher, Jack Butcher and Keith Butcher.
