Mary E. Springston

Mary E. Springston, 74, passed away at her home in Grove, Okla., on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013. Mary was born Sept. 5, 1938 in Potter's Maternity Hospital in Susanville, Calif., the daughter of the late Hershel D. Ramey and Ida G. (Fain) Jones. She graduated from Cedarville, Ark. High School and relocated to Van Buren, Ark. where she married and started her family. Mary was not only a loving mother to her three sons, but she was a savvy business woman. She owned and operated several businesses including a weight loss center, consignment store and restaurant/gift store. She was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodge. Mary married Herman Jack Springston in 1985 in Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and one son, Terry Wayne Tyler (Green). She is survived by one brother, Robert Ramey and wife, Vondel of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Tracy Tyler and wife, Amy of Atlanta, Ga., and David Tyler of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren, Hannah Hall and husband, Josiah, Hattie Tyler, Hope Tyler, and Ramey Tyler of Arkansas and Jordyn Tyler of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and three nephews. A celebration of life for Mary and her late husband, Jack, will be held at Nibbles Steakhouse located at 3290 N. Lee Avenue, Fayetteville, Ark. on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at 4 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. The cremation is under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla..
