Wayne Alexander

Mr. Wayne Alexander, 88, of Rogers, Ark., departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his residence. Wayne entered this life on April 12, 1925, in Stella, Mo., to the late Thomas and Rosie (Turner) Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jerry Alexander. Wayne is survived by one son, Gary Alexander of Joplin, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Kathy Nichols and Tina Neal, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Huelene Carlin of Anderson, Mo.; a brother, Virgil Alexander of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and others who dearly loved him and will miss him. Wayne was a longtime businessman in the Bentonville and Rogers area since 1948. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII, and was a member of the Eastside Assembly of God Church in Bentonville, Ark., where he was baptized in 2006. Funeral services for Mr. Alexander are 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at the Eastside Assembly of God Church in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Robert Ward officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Union Cemetery near Stella, Mo. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Roger Tilley, Terry Dixion, Tommy Alexander, Mark Alexander, Scott Alexander and Robert M. Evenson. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
