Fredrick Loual Hoipkemeier

Fredrick Loual Hoipkemeier Oct. 25, 1922-Oct. 20, 2013 Fredrick Loual Hoipkemeier, 90, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. Born in Mexia, Texas, to Fredrick William Hoipkemeier and Ava Duette Sandifer. He was married to Doris Retamae Morgan until her passing in 1995. Fred is survived by his four children, Sharon of Edmond, Okla., Steven of Buda, Texas, Gayla of Springdale, Ark., Karl of Stillwater, Okla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Fred was married to Virginia Grissom from 1997-2010. Fred was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in chemical and petroleum engineering. He served in WWII and was commissioned from Columbia University, with graduate training from both Harvard and MIT. He served aboard the U.S.S. Panamint. Fred was active in many churches during his lifetime as well as Boy Scouting, U.S. Power Squadron and the National Campers and Hiking Association. He enjoyed family camping trips and volunteering in music programs in his churches. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Peaceful Valley Bible Church, Springdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Peaceful Valley Bible Church, Springdale.
