Loyis Lee Tevebaugh

Loyis "Pete" Lee Tevebaugh, 96, of Gentry, Ark., died Oct. 12, 2013, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab. Born Jan. 9, 1917, in Gentry, Ark., he was the son of James J. Tevebaugh and Lula Catherine McGaugh Tevebaugh. He lived his entire life in Gentry, and was owner/operator of a harness and saddle shop. He made handmade harnesses and repaired saddles. Pete was also a farmer and cattle trader. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Irene Louise Heald Tevebaugh on Jan. 4, 2011. Survivors include three sons, Rudy Tevebaugh and wife, Lola, of Edmond, Okla., Jimmy Tevebaugh and wife, Connie, of Lowell, Ark., and Dale Tevebaugh of Gentry, Ark.; three daughters, Beverly Brooks-Gore and husband, Larry Gore, of Haines City, Fla., Kay Reed and husband, Logan, of Gentry, Ark., and Vicki Bland and husband, Mike, of Bentonville, Ark.; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, near Siloam Springs.
