Joyce Allene Yeager

Graveside services for Joyce Allene Yeager, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at the Bentonville Cemetery, S.W. "F" Street in Bentonville, Ark. William Spurlock of Bentonville Church of Christ will be officiating. Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Green Country Funeral Home, 203 S. Commercial Road, Tahlequah, Okla. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com Joyce Allene Flatt Yeager was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Buffalo, Okla., to Leonard W. Flatt and Gena E. (Mitchell) Flatt. She passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Tahlequah City Hospital in Tahlequah, Okla., at the age of 81 years. Joyce grew up in the family home in Bentonville, Ark. She loved gardening, needlework, and traveling with her RV group, the Suntrackers. Together with her late husband, they enjoyed boating activities while residing on Lake Texoma. She was retired from Tinker Air Force Base. Joyce graduated from Bentonville High School in 1949, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. On Oct. 2, 1981, Joyce married Charles Richard Yeager. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; sisters, Anna Collins Allsip, Lou Deane Henn and Reba Jewell Ralson. She is survived by her sons, Steve Fleming and wife, Shelly, of Whitewright, Texas, and Randy Fleming and wife, Gwen, of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Melanie Fleming Klugh and husband, Calvin, of Tahlequah, Okla.; stepdaughters, Charlotte Madron and husband, Gil, of McCloud, Okla., and Cindy Andrews and husband, Gary, of Norman, Okla.; sister, Oleta Barnett of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Carter Home Health and Tahlequah City Hospital for the kindness and care you provided our mother over the years.
