Oral Franklin Cover

Oral Franklin Cover, 93, of Bella Vista died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Highlands Healthcare Center. He was born March 1, 1920, in Willow Springs, Mo., the son of Louia Pittman and Hugh Cover. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Cover Shoe Store and a remodeling business for many years. He loved spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and reading, but his greatest joy was serving God. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for 24 years after moving from Arkansas City, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Cover; several siblings; and one niece and one nephew. Oral is survived by one son, David Cover and his partner Christopher Sellars, of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Charlotte Cover of Seminole, Fla., Karen Kwarcinski and her husband Paul of Pea Ridge, Stacey Pehosh and her husband Brett of Bella Vista; two brothers, Stanley Cover and his wife Shirley of North Richland Hills, Texas, Vance Cover and his wife Deana of Liberty, Mo.; one sister, Audrey Hayes of Cuba, Mo.; and one grandchild, Sarah Kwarcinski. Visitation: Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. Funeral service: Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler, Rev. Leaon Griswold and Rev. Stanley Cover officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge, to the "Building Fund."
