Eugene Kendall Grady

Eugene Kendall Grady, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Oct. 10, 2013. He was born July 25, 1923, in Kinston, N.C., to J.D. and Sally Grady. Kendall was a Purple Heart veteran of WW II, U.S. Army Air Corps, 1943 to 1945, with 36 missions over Germany in a B-26. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 1988. Kendall lived with his wife, Lee, deceased 2007, there for 54 years before moving to Rogers in 2004 to be close to family. Survivors include two daughters, Kenda Vaughn, Rogers, and Barbara Holman, Hoover, Ala.; also five grandchildren, Michael McAdams, Rogers, Ark., Kendall McAdams, Rogers, Ark., Shawn McAdams, Dothan, Ala., Brent Holman, Birmingham, Ala., Brianna Barham, Birmingham, Ala.; and eight great-grandchildren. A military graveside service with Robert W. Smith, retired pastor, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, in Tuscaloosa; viewing at 10 a.m., service at noon at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #100, 711 W. Persimmon St., Rogers AR 72756; or the First United Methodist Church, 307 W. Elm St., Rogers AR 72756.
