Lynda Sue Cross

Lynda Sue Cross, 71, went home to the Lord on Oct. 6, 2013, in Greensboro, N.C. Lynda was a longtime resident of Ponca City, Okla., Springdale, Ark., and Stillwater, Okla. Born Aug. 4, 1942, in Ponca City, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Johnnie Estelette Weir. Lynda was of the Catholic faith and graduated from Ponca City High School. She was a loving mother and loved spending time with her grandson, Spencer. She enjoyed painting, needlepoint, crocheting, cooking and relaxing at the beach. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Wichert, and her husband, Rex, grandson, Spencer, of Greensboro, N.C.; son, Mike Cross and wife, Pam, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Sharon Corbin of Stillwater, Okla. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Arthritis Foundation, Carolina Chapter, 4530 Park Road, Suite 230, Charlotte, NC 28209. Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, N. Elm Chapel, is assisting the Cross family.
