Clara Ovella Lookadoo

Clara Ovella Lookadoo, age 83, of Bentonville passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at her home. She was born in Bismarck, Ark., on Jan. 15, 1930, to the late Lee and Dellie (Hardage) Bray. Ovella was a graduate of Bismarck High School and sang Southern Gospel music in a girls quartet in her younger years. She sold Avon for a number of years and later worked for Malone Pharmacy in Arkadelphia. She and her husband, Waldo, moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1994 and were members of Immanuel Baptist Church where they took part in the Pathfinders Sunday school class. She was an avid walker and made many friends in Bentonville during her walks around town. Survivors include her son, Fred Lookadoo and wife, Charlene, of Rogers; grandsons, Jonathon Lookadoo, Joel Lookadoo and wife, Chantelle. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Blanche; and the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Waldo Lookadoo. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
