Diane Sue Miller

Diane S. Miller, 72, died Oct. 2, 2013. She was born on Jan. 11, 1941, in Denver, Colo., but grew up in Tulsa, Okla. She graduated high school in 1959. Diane was a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, Past Worthy Advisor and Past Mother Advisor, as well as a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron. Diane was a licensed practical nurse and worked in the medical field for 19 years. She was married to William B. Miller on Dec. 19, 1960. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy L. Bruce of Lewisville Texas, Kimberly S. Burgess and her husband, Terry, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Michelle M. Miller of Bentonville, Ark.; six grandchildren, Chelsea and Morgan Bruce, Garrison, Tanner and Mckenna Burgess, and Jeslynn Miller. Diane is also survived by JoAnne Straub, her sister in Denver, Colo.; Debe Siegel, her niece in Denver, Colo.; and Curt Straub, her nephew, also of Denver, Colo. She is survived by many other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Schumacher; mother, Virginia Schumacher; uncle, Richard Schumacher; brother-in-law, Robert Straub; and stepmother, Francis Schumacher. Diane was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, Ark. She participated in many church activities and appreciated her church family. She was proud of her custom-designed card ministry, where no two cards were the same. She made many unique craft items, enjoyed baking, sewing and was an avid reader. Diane was a devoted wife and truly enjoyed activities with her family and grandchildren. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Oct. 10, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, Ark. Pastor Jaimie Alexander will be officiating. Internment will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the church library or Praise Team Music Fund at the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, Ark.
