Eugene L. 'Jiggs' Mickel

Eugene L. "Jiggs" Mickel passed away Sept. 29, 2013, Bella Vista. Jiggs was born June 15, 1922, in Osage, Wyo. Graduated from Buffalo High School in 1940. Married Janell Miller in 1944. Jiggs made a career of the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1967 as chief master sergeant, having served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. After being widowed in 2005, Jiggs was honored to share the affection of a special lady, Sylvia Lee. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Concordia Care Center.
