Beulah Mae Vanderpool

Beulah Mae Vanderpool, 83, of Goshen, Ark., died Sept. 30, 2013, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born July 3, 1930, in Whitener, Ark., the daughter of Levi Henderson and Amy Edna Calico Bragg. She had retired from the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Goshen Church of Christ. She was the widow of James Olen Vanderpool, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2004. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James Bragg, William Bragg and Charles Bragg; and by one sister, Anna Lee Morris. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Olen and Kim Vanderpool of Farmington, Ark.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Reanetta and Danny Edwards of Goshen, Ark., Kathy and Dave Taylor of Springdale, Ark., and Jeanean and Roger Smith of Hillsdale, Okla.; two brothers, Truman Bragg of Albuquerque, N.M., and Loy Dean Bragg of Jasper, Ark.; five sisters, Phyllis Woods of Las Vegas, Nev., Lillie Faye Guthrie of Huntsville, Ark., Betty Williams of Springdale, Ark., Emma Badgley of Fayetteville, Ark., and Cleaetta Maggard of Haubstadt, Ind.; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Richard Jones, minister officiating. Interment will be in the Farmer Cemetery near Hindsville, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be Scott Edwards, Steven Edwards, Olen Taylor, Cory Taylor, Quentin Smith and David Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Brashears.
