Kinsey Quynh Harlan, 6, cherished daughter of Carol and Marvin Harlan, died Friday, Nov. 22, in Fayetteville. Quynh was born in Nghe An Province, Vietnam, on June 22, 2007, and joyfully adopted by Marvin, Carol and their family at three and a half months old. Diagnosed at infancy with the very rare Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome, she was cared for and treated by an outstanding team of doctors and friends at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Quynh was a proud Kindergartner at Vandergriff Elementary. She loved her many teachers and her many friends. Quynh received therapy from the dedicated group at Children's Therapy TEAM. She took dance at Art of Motion studio and gymnastics at Williams Gymnastics Center. Some of her favorite things were reading books in bed with Mommy, art projects, playing with her sisters and brothers, riding on Daddy's shoulders, dancing in her wheelchair, swimming, singing Teen Beach Movie songs, laughing, and talking on the phone. Most of all she loved her little dog Honey and pretending to be a princess. Quynh truly was a sparkly princess both inside and out. She was a delight and joy, and she lived her life with a sense of wonder about everything around her. Our days were filled with her laughter, singing and constant talking. Precious Quynh was adored by her surviving family: Mommy and Daddy – Carol and Marvin Harlan; Sisters – Amy Harlan, Kylie and Kimber Harlan; and Brothers – Tyler Harlan and wife, Andrea Varsavsky, Luke Harlan, Jacob Harlan, Landry Harlan, and Carter Harlan. A Memorial Service celebrating Quynh's life will be held in the Chapel of Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 2. The church address is 208 E. Pleasant Grove Road, Lowell. An Open Viewing is scheduled for this evening, Nov. 25, from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville.
