Joe Wesley Brackett

Joe Wesley Brackett, 71, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Nov. 13, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. Born May 14, 1942, in Hot Springs, Ark., he was the son of Virgil Brackett and Dorothy Dixon Brackett. He was a self-employed dozer operator and mechanic. He married Helen Newton on Aug. 8, 1963, in Reno. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Brannon and Ann Cochran; and two brothers, Eddie Howerton and Jimmy Howerton. Survivors include his wife, Helen of the home; one son, Joey Brackett of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Sandra Rice of Siloam Springs; four grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Howerton and Johnny Gray, both of Siloam Springs, and Tommy Howerton of Neosho, Mo. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Bell Cemetery, Adair County, Okla., with Raymond Walters officiating.
