Darrel John Anderson, 71, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. He was born Oct. 6, 1942, in Napa, Calif., to the late John and Vivian Camp Anderson. He was a retired salesman for Rainbo Bread. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Darrel was a doting grandfather, and loving father and husband, with lots of energy and good humor. He was humble, kind and compassionate toward people and animals alike. His kind nature was sensed by all animals; his dog, Pixie, and cats, Sam and Misty, were proof of that as they stayed by his side, day in and day out. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with Fred Sebastian officiating. Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Denise Brockunier of Springdale, Ark., Sheila Eller of Fort Smith, Bryan Anderson and wife, Marsha, of Van Buren, Paula McCord and husband, Brent, of Fort Smith, and Vivian Currington of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Tyler Easley, Whitney Molder, Kimberly Anderson, Jordan Easley, Bryan Anderson II, Gregory Anderson, Chase Brockunier, Dylon McCord, Maddox McCord, Ryan McCord, Dejannah Currington and Jennae Currington; and great-grandchildren, Anderson Gramlich, Charlotte Molder and Amelia Gramlich. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Antell, Jeff Hartness, Tyler Easley, Bryan Anderson II, Gregory Anderson, Chase Brockunier, Maddox McCord and Ryan McCord.
