Kathleen Drain Burnett

Kathleen Drain Burnett, 72, of Elkins, Ark., died Nov. 5, 2013, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born April 11, 1941, at Durham, Ark., the daughter of William Dureff and Pearl Brannon Drain. She had retired from the Washington County Public Health Center and was a loving wife and mother. An avid reader, she loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed sewing and made quite a few sets of clothes for herself and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Wendell Burnett on July 16, 2013. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Norris Burnett of the home; one son, Wesley Burnett of Ozark, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Lori Burnett of Clifty, Ark.; one sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Ed Sloan of Elkins, Ark.; and one grandson, Matthew Burnett of Ozark, Ark. Funeral service will be held at 10: a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Patrick Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers will be: Leon Drain, Roger Burnett, Travis Burnett, Kevin Collins, James Thompson, Jason Tyer, Randall Burnett and Rocky Burnett. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. at Brashears.
