Geneva Mae Mason, 91, of Bentonville died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1922, in the Twelve Corners Community east of Pea Ridge, Ark., to Faytema Lee Patterson and Luther Martin Patterson. Geneva enjoyed collecting plates and spoons, sewing, needlepoint, traveling, shopping trips and spending time with her family. Geneva was an active member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville for over 63 years. On Aug. 31, 1940, she married Forrest W. Mason. He preceded her in death in 2003 after 62 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Felix A. Patterson and Ralph L. Patterson. Geneva is survived by one daughter, Brenda G. Mason of Bentonville; one sister, Betty J. Clark of Bentonville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Bentonville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, with the Rev. Winfred Bridges officiating. Burial will be at Twelve Corners Cemetery in Pea Ridge. Pallbearers will be Larry Clark, Mike Clark, Marty Clark, David Patterson, Kenneth Patterson and R.C. Patterson. Memorials may be made in honor of Geneva Mason to the First Baptist Church, 220 S. Main St., Bentonville, AR 72712. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
