Mary L. Norman

Mary L. Norman, 70, of Centerton passed peacefully to Heaven Oct. 29, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Mexico, Mo., to Ernest W. and Vergie Payne Norman. At the age of 2, she moved with her family to Arizona where she lived until moving to Bentonville in 1961. She graduated from Gilbert High School, Gilbert, Ariz., in 1960 and attended Midwest Bible Institute in Webb City, Mo. Mary worked for Copper Communities and then for over 20 years at Walmart PMDC, retiring three years ago. She loved to crochet and spent many happy hours making afghans to give away. She was a member of the Vaughn Home Extension Club and the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Rogers. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two brothers, Howard Norman of Walker, Ariz., and Kenneth Norman and wife, Linda, of Centerton; a sister, Ruby Davies and husband, Dan, of Centerton. She is also survived by the joys of her life, six nephews and three nieces, Richard Norman, John Norman, Ron Norman and Carol Norman, all of Arizona, Nathan Norman of Bentonville, Jonathan Norman of Little Rock, Johanna Norman of Orlando, Fla., Scott Davies of Bentonville and Julie Davies of San Francisco, Calif. She is also survived by 11 beloved grandnieces and nephews, and a host of special cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers, with Pastor James Longmate officiating. Burial will be at Bentonville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Assembly of God "Mission Ministry," 2626 New Hope Road, Rogers, AR 72758.
