Sandra Ruth Taylor

Sandra Ruth Taylor, 66, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 8, 1947, in Fayetteville, Ark., to the late Carlos Carr Sr. and Jewell Louise Carr. Sandra graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1965. She became employed by the University of Arkansas, where she remained for 42 years. Sandra was an animal lover and enjoyed writing poems and stories about them and many other things. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Taylor; brother, Daniel Carr; and sister, Leona Carr. Cherishing her memory are her two sons, T.J. Taylor and wife, Paula, of Bentonville and Dominick Taylor of Bella Vista; daughter, Tiffany Major of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, Josh, Kanisha, Jarvis, Traton, Chris, Tyrus, Amya, Ryan and Kirrin; great-grandchild, Raleigh; two brothers, Carlos Carr Jr. and wife, Lynell, of Fayetteville and Darrell Carr and wife, Valerie, of Blytheville, Ark.; three sisters, Sarah Thrower and husband, Rufus, and Karen Carr, both of Little Rock, and Glenda Deffebaugh and husband, Phillip, of Fayetteville; aunt, Jessie Bryant of Fayetteville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Beards Funeral Chapel, 855 S. Happy Hollow Road, Fayetteville, Ark., with Brother Steven West officiating. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
