Jerry 'J.J.' Wilson

Mr. Jerry 'J.J.' Wilson, age 73, of Forrest City, died Monday at his home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past year. Mr. Wilson was born July 20, 1939, in Kingsland, Arkansas, and was the son of Jasper F. Wilson and Martha J. Watson Wilson. He moved to Forrest City in 1972, was a heavy equipment operator, and attended the Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson married Linda Lea in 1962, and she survives him along with two sons; Jimmy D. Wilson, and wife, Cheryl, of Caldwell, and Gregory D. Wilson, and wife, Jeana, of Forrest City, two grandchildren; Brian Wilson, and wife, Rachel, of Colt, and Brittany Wilson, and husband, Matt, of Forrest City, two sisters; Yvonne Freeman of Pineville, Louisiana, and Reba Howell of Rye, Texas, and three great-grandchildren; Jayden Wilson, Harper Wilson, and Cali Jo Helton. Services for Mr. Wilson will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, 6 till 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
